Editor’s Comment

Working on this year’s website has been one of the most rewarding parts of my time with the Western Student Press. From writing stories to helping shape and grow our website, I’ve genuinely loved being part of the process seeing ideas come to life and knowing we’re creating something that represents our campus.

It’s bittersweet to watch our Editor-in-Chief move on, but I couldn’t be happier for her as she takes this next step at Stony Brook. She’s left such a strong mark on this publication, and I know she’s going to do amazing things.

I also want to give a huge thank you to Professor Leibowitz for being such an incredible advisor. Her support, guidance, and belief in this paper has made such a difference, and it hasn’t gone unnoticed.

This year has meant a lot to me, and I’m really grateful to have been a part of it. I hope you guys enjoy this amazing print issue. Know a lot of love, time and work has gone into it.

Hi there! I’m Ronald, but you can call me Ron or Ronny, whatever rolls off the tongue easier. I’m beyond excited to be joining the Western Student Press and working alongside such an awesome group of writers and creatives! Here’s a little about me I’m a huge Marvel movie/show fan (Wanda Maximoff is the current strongest Avenger, don’t even try to convince me otherwise). I’m a barista at Starbucks. You’ll probably find me during my free time in the kitchen making something tasty or testing a recipe. Oh, and fun fact one of my best friends, Yanci Castro, is the editor-in-chief, so clearly, I know how to pick good friends. I can’t wait to bring some flavor (literally) to the team with my recipes, food-themed articles, and running our social media!
