Dear WSP Readers,
It’s that time of year again! The Western Student Press is proud to present the last print issue of the Fall 2025 semester, saving the best for last: the holiday edition! In this November/December 2025 issue, articles range from sharing the best locations to buy affordable gifts for loved ones to listing different songs to play for getting into the holiday mood. In a world filled with uncertainty and pessimism, WSP wants to offer warmth and assurance that we’re still the best place to make all SCCC voices heard.
This holiday edition was created and pieced together in record time and that would not be possible without the help of our very own WSP Staff. From the members who’ve stuck around to the ones that recently joined and plan to make a difference within this organization, their hard work and dedication to putting their best foot forward in order to make the WSP the reliable newspaper that it is has not gone unnoticed. Special thanks to our Faculty Advisor Professor Anita Leibowitz for leading this team and having our best interest in mind along the way.
The holiday season is a time for giving as much as it is a time for receiving. Above all materialistic gifts that we’re rushing to buy and wrap for loved ones, let’s remember to share love and positivity with others too. While it’s the season for joy and whimsy, it’s also the season for final exams or even seasonal depression. The Western Student Press urges readers to walk with their heads held high and jaws unclenched because a little kindness, to others and to oneself, can go a long way. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
Editorially yours,
Yanci
