The Suffolk County Community College (SCCC) Fashion Club held a fashion show that was a celebration of style evolution, taking the audience on a journey through the iconic eras of the ‘90s, 2000s, and today’s 2025 fashion. Each segment highlighted the way that fashion continues to evolve and inspire.
The show opened with the ‘90s era, where models strutted down the runway in fur scarves, high waisted jeans, and sleek leather coats. This combination was a perfect blend of elegant and urban style. Transitioning into the 2000s, the music shifted to iconic pop hits that defined the era. The models showcased nostalgic Y2K trends, which included miniskirts, denim-on-denim, and a combination of fitted baby tees with flowy tops. These looks captured the carefree and experimental spirit of the time. The show went on with the bold and versatile designs of 2025. This model lineup featured futuristic footwear, layered accessories, and innovative silhouettes. Every piece captured not only the creativity of the era, but also of the model. The entire show felt like a time capsule, transitioning from one era to the next.
Finally, the show closed with an incredible performance from the Watch Your Step Dance Company, bringing high energy and excitement to the finale. A special thank you goes to the model, stylist, creator and President of the Fashion Club, Roland Jean Marie. His impressive ideas and attention to detail made the show truly remarkable. His vision brought together these iconic eras in a way that was exciting and unforgettable for everyone involved. A huge shout out to the Fashion Club team, the models, photographers, videographers, Campus Activities, and staff that made this event possible and cheered everyone on. Here’s to the 2026 Fashion show!
