Suffolk County Community College’s Michael J. Grant Campus is getting into the Halloween spirit with a week of festive activities hosted by the Campus Activities Board (CAB). Dubbed “Halloweek,” the event lineup includes pumpkin painting, a movie marathon, a scavenger hunt, and a Halloween party—all free for students.
Festivities kick off on Wednesday, October 23, with a Pumpkin Patch event on the Captree Patio from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., where students can pick and paint their own pumpkins. The painting session will continue inside the Captree Cafeteria Annex until 2:00 p.m., with candy giveaways adding to the fun.
The celebration continues on Wednesday, October 30, with a Movie Madness Marathon in the Captree Lounge from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Students can lounge and enjoy top Halloween movie picks. Concurrently, a Halloween-themed scavenger hunt will take place from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Captree Lounge, celebrating 50 years of the Grant Campus.
The week wraps up on Thursday, October 31, with a Halloween Party in the Captree Café from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. The party will feature a costume contest, candy, finger foods, and a final Halloween Hunt.
For students looking to have some Halloween fun, Halloweek promises to deliver spooky thrills and plenty of campus spirit.
