Dear WSP Readers,
It’s a privilege to produce yet another issue of the Western Student Press to start off the Spring 2025 semester – an issue that will bring you knowledge of crucial information on Grant Campus, and tidbits on both the simple pleasures of life such as movies and the great things in life such as transitioning from one stage of your life to the next.
Of course, this paper would not be possible without the guidance of our Faculty Advisor Professor Leibowitz. With her help, both the students and faculty of Grant Campus are able to make their voices heard. It is almost overwhelming how many readers have given us positive feedback on our previous issues, some of whom have decided to reach out and contribute pieces of their own for this February 2025 issue. Such articles can be found in the Features and Arts & Entertainment section!
Although the cold days are slow and many, the springtime is just around the corner. Sunny weather, longer days, and (unfortunately) less class cancellations! The current gloominess of February is dragging on, but sunshine and breeze will soon take over and resurrect the motivation many students might be lacking right now – I speak from experience.
This is my first publication as Editor-in-Chief and it is a title I carry with such pride because nothing brings me more joy than being able bring together works written for students by the students. I hope you enjoy what this February 2025 issue has in store for you and that it encourages many to lean into the sunshine instead of the gloom.
Editorially yours,
Yanci
