Dear WSP Readers,
It is with the utmost pride that I introduce the April/May 2025 issue to wrap up the Spring semester! Although this edition is unconventional in the sense that it is solely online at westernstudentpress.com — that is not to say that less effort has been put into this issue. In fact, it is one of the most important ones we can publish because it’s a true show of resilience and determination during trying times.
This publication would not be possible without the writers of the WSP – both the staff and contributing writers – that make my job as Editor-in-Chief feasible, not to mention enjoyable. Throughout our weekly meetings and constant communication when it comes to articles, I feel as though I’ve learned something from each and every one of them. I am honored to write alongside many of the talented people in this issue; it brings me simultaneous relief and excitement to know I am able to help those on Grant Campus make their voices heard by sharing their works.
As the summertime slowly approaches, there’s no better time to pick up a good book or sit back and watch a movie – such reviews can be found throughout this online edition. Seeing the seasons change firsthand and realizing finals are coming up is almost startling. I can’t seem to figure out how time can go by so slowly and yet, in the blink of an eye. It’s all a greater lesson to push through your hardships, and any lack of motivation, and focus on what’s to come. I hope the April/May 2025 issue urges you to regain your balance and remember that there is sunshine ahead in the midst of the clouds.
Editorially yours,
Yanci
