For those who enjoy funny movies, this DreamWorks film will make people of all ages laugh. Dog Man came out in theaters earlier this year. It is about a half-dog half-man becoming a supa cop – a police officer that’s a hybrid of a dog and a human. I would give this movie five stars as this movie was great, Lil Petey was adorable and loving. Movie critics have given this movie an 80 percent on Rotten Tomatoes which means it has gotten a certified fresh rating.

The director Peter Hastings is known for directing The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants. Dog Man is the spin-off of that movie as it takes place in the same universe. The animation is over the top as it is comic themed. The movie is based on the “Dog Man” book series by author Dav Pilkey. There are 13 books in the book series total. Pilkey has ADHD and Dyslexia, he came up with the idea when he was in second grade as he loved dogs dearly and was inspired by them.

The movie cast includes Pete Davidson (The King of Staten Island), Lil Rel Howery (Get Out), Poppy Liu (iCarly), Isla Fisher (Tag), Ricky Gervais (The Office UK), Billy Boyd (The Lord of the Rings franchise), Stephen Root (Office Space), Lucas Hopkins Calderon, Maggie Wheeler (Friends), Cheri Oteri (SNL), Kate Micucci (The Little Hours), Luenell Campbell (Borat), and Melissa Villaseñor (SNL).
